My Recent Work and Artist Statement:

My oil paintings explore the memory of my childhood. Growing up, my only worries were what to eat and what to play. I look back at that life with innocence, making the world feel light and fun. Painting childhood moments allows me to reconnect with that happiness. Painting my memories puts me in a worry-free state, where choices feel impermanent, just as they did when I was young. I can paint over marks easily, just as my memories come and go easily. By painting myself, I capture moments of pure joy and invite others to reflect on their childhood bliss. Even those with difficult upbringings yearn for contentment and innocence. Through my work, I want to evoke nostalgia and remind viewers of a time when the world felt full of wonder.
